The board of intermediate and secondary education Faisalabad is among the eight education boards of the Punjab province of Pakistan. The board is working under the Punjab government’s ministry of education which is the organizing authority of the board. The basic most responsibilities of the board is to conduct the annual intermediate and secondary examination in the areas allocated to the board. Every year a fairly large number of students appear in the examinations thorough BISE Faisalabad. BISE Faisalabad (Board of intermediate and secondary education) is known as the governing body for conducting secondary and intermediate exams in its jurisdiction. A large number of students appear in the exam every year.
BISE Faisalabad was came into being in 1988 after the bifurcation of the BISE Sargodha. It was then separated from the Sargodha board and was free to conduct the exam of intermediate and secondary education in its region.
The Board of Faisalabad was established in 1988 after the Sargodha board was bifurcated and this was done due to the massive increase in the amount of students appearing in each year for annual examination. From the time of its separation and independent board it is working for the education of the residents.
The jurisdiction is that area which comes under the board’s responsibility and board is to conduct the annual examination of matriculation and intermediate in the following areas. The board is working on a mission of providing the best education facilities and system for the students. Following are the functions board is performing from the day of its establishment.
The very first process starts with the affiliation of the schools and colleges which have to pay some fee for the affiliation. Once they are affiliated then the bard starts registering students from these institutes who want to appear in the annual examinations of SSC and HSSC. Then come the phase of paper setting in which board make schedules of paper conduction, date sheets, staff hiring and allocating the centers of examination.
Last phase is the result preparation and declaration in which the result is prepared, papers are checked and rechecked. Once it is prepared, it is then upload on the official website of the board and in the institutes within in the jurisdiction from where students can get their results by giving their roll numbers.
The board starts its registration process around two to three months before the examination dates. Those students who study in the affiliated colleges get enrolled through the colleges and schools whereas the private candidates have to get the forms from the board for themselves and have to submit the dues. Then the board issues the roll number slips in which roll number and the centre is allocated.
All the paper pattern, model papers and the content of the text books is defined by the board and is responsible for any change. The students of matriculation have the choice of taking the major subjects from General science, Science and arts.
