IT is a district located in the Punjab Province in Pakistan. The capital of the district is the Sargodha city. The district is famous for a special type of citrus fruit named as Kinu. The city is one of the largest exporters of Kinu.
There are secen tehsils of the Sargodha district which are Bhera, BHalwal, Kot Momin, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Shahpur and Silanwali. The total area occupied by the district is 5,864 square kilometers with the population of 2,665,979 (According to census 1998). 94% of the total population in the district speaks Punjabi language with different dialect. Most common dialect is Shahpuri and among others is Majhi, Jhangvi and Pothohari.
