Board of intermediate and secondary education, Dera Ghazi Khan (DG Khan) started its functioning as an independent educational body across the province in 1976. The board is enjoying a good repute among the other educational bodies because of its exceptional working.
Since its establishment, it is accountable to organize the supplementary and annual exams pertaining to matriculation and intermediate level exams along with other certification and diploma exams.
Every year, Dg Khan Board organizes matric part 1 and matric part 2 annual exams in March while announces the schedule for these exams almost one month earlier. The board is accountable to hold the exams of the students living in DG Khan and in the areas that came under the dominion of this board. The jurisdiction of this board has been confined to the following regions Layyah, Muzaffargarh and Rajanpur.
For this year, we are expecting that board will issue the date sheet for the students in February while the exams will begin in starting dates of March. The board every year organizes the exams for both private and regular students of matriculation and intermediate level. It organizes the exams ta this level for two main groups comprising of Arts and Science. Overall marks set by the higher officials of board at this level for both groups are 1100.
In the past, the total marks for matric were 1050 however now the grading scheme has been changed. The marks division in 10<sup>th</sup> class for annual exams (science group) is 505 together with the 90 marks of practicals whereas for arts group the total marks are 550.
Here it is also pertinent to mention that it is mandatory for the students of SSC level to get prepared themselves outstandingly for the board exams as their future and their desired career completely depends on the marks obtained at this level.
Hence it is important for the student to know that how they can completely prepare for every subject to get good grades. The question paper of every subject in SSC part 2 comprised of three parts. These parts involve: one section of MCQs which covers 20% of the paper, second section of short question which covers 50% of paper whereas as the third section is of the long questions which covers the 30% of the overall paper.
